My little love bug has always been super affectionate. Giving the sweetest baby kisses you could ever ask for. He’s not like most babies who just slobber on your cheek leaving drool all over your face. No, he puckers up the those little lips, gives a big smackaroo, and actually says “mwah”. He turns this mommie to mush! Lately, on our family walks love bug will pucker up every block or so wanting us to stop just so he can give Mommie and Daddy kisses or “besos” my husband is Puerto Rican so my little one and I are learning Spanish together 😉
This week “S” has decided not to just show affection with his baby kisses, but insists on holding our hand as he strolls. A couple blocks he holds mommies hand and daddy pushes the stroller and then we switch, and it’s daddy’s turn.
My little one never seizes to amaze me. It’s days like these that I have to stop to take in the moment. I feel so blessed to mother such a sweet and loving child.
Today we had a playdate with blogger My Strange Family and her adorable son at City Treehouse. This indoor play area located in the Chelsea neighborhood of NYC, has activity settings for all ages. They offer a “soft room” for the younger ones with lots of interactive toys, and a forest themed play space.
The forest play space is equipped with a steam table that is filled with toys for their imagination to run free, as well a the two story “Treehouse” with a star cave! One particular area I found to be really creative yet so simple was a paint area that included slate on the wall, with paint brushed and water (as the “paint”) the water simply dries and its a new canvas for the next little artist.
I know “S” had a great time playing with his new friend, and he can’t wait to visit City Treehouse again.
Eat Play Love has some of the most adorable bibs I have ever seen, they call it “The Bandana Bib.” I was in love when I saw her products and when I received not one but three in the mail I was ecstatic!
Candice the owner, designer and a mother was inspired to create this bib line after receiving a neck scarf for her daughter. Her daughter is a big drooler, so she needed something functional that mimicked the “neck scarf” as well as being lightweight and comfortable. Candice is also working on new bib prints, and a clothing line which is said to be just as fun and adorable as her bibs. She currently does not have her products in any stores here in the USA, but online ordering is available.
These bibs are great for meal time as well as the drooling, teething toddler. The fabric is breathable and thick enough to keep your little ones chest dry. Little mans molars are cutting and I have had a really hard time keeping a bib on him… However, these particular bibs he doesn’t mind.
Her prints are adorable!! My favorite has to be the houndstooth! But of course I love them all. The bib is also reversible and the best part they even thought of making the tag reversible too! One side of the tag says the brand “Eat Play Love” and the other a mustache (which my husband happens to love). Different sizes you may ask? No worries, Eat Play Love bibs have adjustable snaps that allow your bib to grow with your child.
These bibs are a must have!!!
